Succinyl-Coenzyme A (Succinyl-CoA) sodium 是一种柠檬酸循环的中间体。Succinyl-Coenzyme A sodium 可转化为琥珀酸,也可通过 δ-amino levulinic acid (ALA) 合成酶的催化,与甘氨酸结合形成 δ-ALA 从而合成卟啉 (血红素)。Succinyl-Coenzyme A sodium 可用于营养性维生素 B12 缺乏症 (致使 Succinyl-Coenzyme A 合成缺乏) 所引起的代谢、神经学和血液学异常 (如卟啉症) 的研究。
生物活性
Succinyl-Coenzyme A (Succinyl-CoA) sodium is an intermediate of the citric acid cycle. Succinyl-Coenzyme A sodium can be converted to succinic acid and can also combines with glycine to form δ-ALA to synthesize porphyrins (heme). Succinyl-Coenzyme A sodium can be used in the study of metabolic, neurological and haematological abnormalities (such as porphyrias) caused by nutritional vitamin B 12 deficiency (resulting in a deficiency in Succinyl-Coenzyme A synthesis).
